Recent cases and accomplishments by the attorneys at Platt, DiGiorgio & DiFabio

  • Medical doctor charged with over 149 counts of forgery and theft totaling over $800,000.00. After extensive investigation by Vincent P. DiFabio, District Attorney’s Office dismisses all theft charges and agrees to allow client to plead guilty to one count of forgery for probation and maintains his medical license.
  • Client is sued for thousands of dollars for failing to pay a contractor for work allegedly completed during a home remodeling project.  The Client was represented by Keith P. DiFabio.  The claim was dismissed at the Magisterial District Court, after demonstrating the inadequate work performed by the contractor.
  • Husband charged with threatening to shoot his wife represented by Vincent P. DiFabio and found not guilty of all charges after a jury trial in Delaware County.
  • Former township supervisor charged with multiple counts of theft, forgery, witness intimidation, and misuse of public funds in Montgomery County. Client represented by defense team of Vincent P. & Keith P. DiFabio. During trial all charges dismissed except for a single misdemeanor count for a year probation.
  • Local university student charged with a misdemeanor theft from a motor vehicle, as well as the summary offenses of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.  Client retains the services of Keith P. DiFabio.  After successfully negotiating with the Assistant District Attorney, all misdemeanor charges are dropped, and Client pleads guilty to one count of a non-traffic summary offense of disorderly conduct, resulting in a fine.
  • All charges of theft, credit card fraud, and forgery dismissed by the Court after successfully challenging the evidence at client’s preliminary hearing.
  • Motorist stopped by police on Rt. 202 in Chester County. Police search of her vehicle and discover stolen checks, stolen credit cards, and forged documents. Vehicle search contested by defense team of Vincent P. & Keith P. DiFabio and Court rules search by police invalid and all charges dismissed.
  • Former Iraq war veteran charged with armed robbery and facing a mandatory minimum five-year jail sentence receives a sentence of probation in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County.
  • Motorist is stopped in Delaware County off Route 1 for traffic violations.  A search of the vehicle results in the Motorist being charged with possession with intent to deliver, a felony.  Motorist is represented by Keith P. DiFabio, who contests the legality of the traffic stop.  The Commonwealth was seeking a state sentence.  After filing a suppression motion, the Assistant District Attorney agrees to withdraw the felony charges, resulting in a guilty plea to two misdemeanor charges, and probation.
  • After five-day custody trial, Father of child awarded custody and mother’s request for relocation to New Jersey denied.
  • New Jersey resident charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and related charges found not guilty of all charges after a trial in the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County.
  • Motorist whose license was suspended for refusing a blood test after being stopped for a DUI wins his appeal and has his license reinstated after presenting medical evidence and eyewitness testimony at a hearing in the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County. Later, District Attorney’s Office dismisses his pending DUI case.
  • Injured police officer to receive 40 weeks of worker’s compensation benefits for scar to his head after successful mediation.
  • Female graduate student who suffered a severe concussion in an intersectional automobile accident awarded $115,000.
  • Court Ordered Impairment Rating Examination held to have failed to prove an established impairment rating and petition to modify workers’ compensation benefits were denied — Claimant continues to receive full workers’ compensation benefits that began in 2005.
  • Former Police Officer charged with 13 counts of theft, four counts of official oppression, and one count of possession of drugs who was facing a potential of over 50 years in jail receives a sentence of 15 days in jail, 11 months of house arrest, probation and community service in the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County.

  • Client found not guilty of DUI and related charges after trial in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County.

  • Motorist charged with driving under the influence, after the operator’s vehicle was pulled over for driving too slowly. All evidence suppressed, as law enforcement lacked probable cause to pull over Defendant’s vehicle, and all charges withdrawn.
