Biography

Approaching 35 years with Platt, DiGiorgio & DiFabio as of April 2024, Susan J. Sacchetta has built a distinguished independent practice within the firm, greatly enhancing its reputation and success. Known for her compassionate, solution-focused approach, Susan has dedicated her career to helping families navigate complex legal matters. Her primary focus is family law, with a strong emphasis on mediation, offering clients a constructive and respectful way to resolve conflicts. Susan also has extensive experience with workers’ compensation and personal injury matters, which complement her family law practice.

Family Law and Mediation Expertise

Throughout her career, Susan has concentrated on family law and many related legal matters that impact the emotional and financial well-being of families. Her extensive experience includes divorce, custody, support, and equitable distribution matters. Understanding that family law requires both legal skill and empathy, Susan is also a trained mediator, offering families an alternative to traditional litigation. In 2013, she completed a comprehensive 40-hour mediation training through the Montgomery Conflict Mediation Center, allowing her to provide a client-centered, peaceful approach.

“Families do not belong in court if it can be avoided,” Susan says. “Mediation helps clients reach their own tailored resolutions in a respectful environment.” Her goal is to empower families to find long-term solutions and achieve peace, even in challenging situations.

Broad Litigation Experience

Susan began her legal career in Philadelphia handling civil rights cases, including Section 1983 actions, and personal injury matters. These experiences shaped her commitment to compassionate representation, which now defines her family law practice. While family law remains her primary focus, her practice extends to personal injury and workers’ compensation matters, where she has successfully represented injured workers and victims in pursuit of their claims. These cases, along with her early experience in civil rights and personal injury, have shaped her compassionate and strategic approach to legal advocacy. Her knowledge in these areas also allows her to offer informed guidance to clients in need.

Susan’s dedication to her clients and her field has earned her numerous accolades:

  • Super Lawyer – Recognized consistently since 2023.
